Enjoy working with children? Come spend a School Day at the Heyward House and watch little eyes light up as they explore their local history. School programs are customized for individual groups, in order to better fit grade levels and class curriculum.
Small groups of students move through 10 – 15 minute stations, and learn about Bluffton life in the 1800’s.
Past stations include Low Country Native Americans, Summer Kitchens: What They Ate & How They Cooked It, Archaeology & Artifacts, May River Ecology, Old-fashioned Children’s Games, Southern Music, The Impact of Slavery on Children’s Lives, Bluffton 101, and more.
